About Us.

Hatcher Pass Snow Riders Club (HPSRC) has been working hand in hand with Alaska State Parks to maintain motorized access within Hatcher Pass. These duties include:

  • Trail maintenance

  • Raising awareness to the public of current conditions and trail opening/closures.

Hatcher Pass Snow Riders Club (HPSRC) was formed in 2015 to help raise awareness of the importance of snow machining in the Hatcher Pass Public Use Recreation Area. HPSRC has been working hands on with Alaska State Parks to maintain motorized access for the last 5 years. As a not for profit organization we have been raising funds to maintain and expand winter motorized use trails in Hatcher Pass. These duties include trail grooming and maintenance and raising awareness to the public of current trail conditions and openings/closures. Recently we have secured the funding to purchase a snowcat and groomer that will allow us to provide a much safer trail system within the Hatcher Pass Public Use Area and surrounding areas for years to come.

HPSRC also hosts family fun events, along with Avalanche Awareness Workshops that are free to the public and also takes part in the adopt -a- highway program where we provide a cleanup up several times a year on 3 miles of roadway in Hatcher Pass.

Please take this opportunity to donate to our club to protect, enhance, expand, and maintain snow machine access in and around Hatcher Pass/Fishhook area via corridors and trails.  Without our sponsors, none of this would be possible.

How to Help

HPSRC is currently raising funds to help pay for trail grooming. After 2019/2020 season, Alaska State Parks will no longer be facilitating or raising funds to maintain and/or groom any trails in the area. We have taken on these responsibilities within our club to ensure no access points are lost and grooming is continued. It is important to HPSRC to maintain these trails and give all riders of any age or experience level an opportunity to have a place to ride.
