Find Out What We Have Been Up To.

With Alaska State Parks no longer able to provide a contractor to build and maintain the motorized winter corridors, our club has taken this momentous task head-on. It is imperative that we maintain our corridors and trails. Most importantly to promote snow machining to ALL experience levels including children, as well as ensuring the trails are in adequate condition to facilitate early season motorized openings, and late season closures (often times extending the season by weeks or months).

HPSRC works hands on with Alaska State Parks to install all signs and markers for the winter motorized use trails and corridors. This not only ensures that it gets done in a timely manner but proves to Alaska State Parks that early season openings are imperative to our club and the community. Once there is sufficient snow cover we provide all trail maintenance and grooming, promoting a safe trail system for riders of all experience levels and children.

Our future goals are to continue to maintain and groom the existing trails and corridors in the Hatcher Pass Recreation Area and to expand to the trailsystem exponentially. Also, to continue to host family fun events and avalanche awareness workshops that are free to the public. Other future goals are to one day construct, supply and sustain rescue huts that are available to all user groups in case of any emergency Long term goals also include parking lot expansion and a shop building to store and maintain trail grooming equipment and possibly facilitate search and rescue functions in the area.

Please consider donating to HPSRC to help with funds needed to facilitate grooming and trail maintenance in Hatcher Pass!
